Our first meeting in September is extremely important. We will be voting for the Officers who will lead our assembly for the upcoming season. Please make every effort to attend so we can establish a quorum and proceed with the vote.

September Feature: Michael Kaminskas 2026 Lecture

Following our assembly business and voting, our September programming features a lecture with something for everyone.

Michael Kaminskas will elevate your close-up and parlor magic by teaching methods and techniques adaptable to any performance situation. He is an internationally recognized author, creator, performer, and consultant who regularly weaves magic into presentations for Fortune 500 companies.

Dubbed the "King of the Cups" by the late Mike Rogers, Michael manufactures the finest cups, balls, and chop cups in the world. His work has been featured in nearly every trade publication, including a coveted cover story for the M-U-M magazine of the Society of American Magicians.

Just some of the incredible magic you will learn:

• My CCR: Michael’s go-to Chop Cup routine. It is packed with magic and skips the standard audience guessing games.

• WAVE: Make a card box vanish with just a wave of your hand to remove the deck. This twist on a classic plot was featured in his act at the world-famous Magic Castle.

• Anniversary Travelers: A unique take on the Anniversary Waltz. Two signed selections are removed from separate pockets, fused together back-to-back, and given away as a souvenir.

• D2D: Silver dollars are produced at your fingertips and then visually change into paper bills for the ultimate eye candy.

A remarkable bill of top magicians, including Rudy Coby, Wayne Alan, AnnaRose, Devlin, Joe Garsetti and Eric DeCamps is featured in the 117th annual Salute to Magic show presented by Parent Assembly #1 of the Society of American Magicians. Rudy Coby, whose dynamic magic innovations inspired a generation of fellow conjurors will be honored as Magician of the Year. For the first time the show will be presented at Lincoln Center, at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. There will be two shows, at 5:30 pm and at 8 pm making the event accessible to all audiences, including magic aficionados, families, couples, and everyone who wants to be amazed. The event will be held in the Library’s intimate Bruno Walter Auditorium. Seating availability is limited. The venue is located opposite the Library’s magic history exhibition Mystery and Wonder: A Legacy of Golden Age Magicians in New York City, which can be viewed prior to the 5:30 pm show. Join us for our 117th Salute to Magic. It will be a rare and unforgettable evening of magic that you won’t want to miss.
